  1. I agree with you Kenneth! There needs to be CONSTRUCTIVE conversation about things; ignoring it is a bad idea! Plus that’s how people share ideas, learn about different experiences, that’s how we learn what life is like in other places and figure out by comparing notes and NOT arguing. Regarding missions…I think given how strongly those folks feel about their own religion is not a good idea. Leave the religion out of it…it’s risky enough to go over and want to educate. Now if people want to go over and educate or at least provide options, that’s one thing but we don’t even like missionaries right here so how can we expect them to be open to missionaries? Dictating to them or guilting them into following a different religion really isn’t any different than the extremists they already know. It’s a fine line. Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for spreading the love and helping orphans out and the homeless etc., just leave the religion out of it or at least only teach them the reason for being there is because of one’s own beliefs, but not trying to force another religion on them. Plus, it may be worthwhile for us to start with that here in this country first – show them from afar that we like helping our own and they may be more apt to be willing to listen – show by example. Just a thought. This was a fabulous conversation! Very interesting. 🙂

  2. p.s. I guess what I was trying to say is – we wouldn’t/ don’t want them telling us who and how to believe so we shouldn’t do that to them; going to help out because that’s what it means to be Christian – then fine but yeah that is all 🙂

  3. For those who are deaf or Hard of Hearing how about a transcript if you don’t have time to do closed captioning.
